Fútbol y Comunidad: This Is What We Build Together

We’re not just a charity—we’re a team. Tacos for Ticos is built on friendships and shared effort between people in the U.S. and Costa Rica. We collect and deliver soccer gear to kids who need it most, but it’s about more than cleats—it’s about creating connection, confidence, and community through the game we all love. From gear drives in Seattle to handoffs in small Costa Rican towns, we keep it personal, direct, and rooted in respect for both places we call home.

We also host the Costa Rica International Soccer Cup with SouthFork United—an annual 6v6 adult tournament held every April in Jacó. The next tournament takes place April 23–25, 2026. It’s more than just a competition—it’s a way to bring people together across borders, raise funds for youth teams, and celebrate fútbol, friendship, and shared purpose.

We may operate in two countries, but we move as one team. Fútbol y Comunidad. That’s the heart of it.

Today we visited Katira, north side of CR, we donated to a much needed school team that was lacking EVERYTHING! We were able to donate cleats, socks, uniforms, gloves, shin guards and cones! We also had a little friendly competition to break the ice
